RESEARCH

Wildlife and Ecosystems
My primary research focuses are on how beavers impact ecosystems. From biodiversity (bats, birds, and game species) to water quality.
I use bioacoustic analysis, traditional water sampling methods, camera traps, and weather analysis to track the quantifiable ways beavers are impacting local species, processes, resilience, and habitat.
TL:DR- if it involves beavers I’ll happily take a crack at trying to research it!
Policy
I partner with not for profit, academic, and government organizations to research unique state policies, project implementation, funding sources, and resilience planning. Topics range from floodplain and wetland restoration, transportation infrastructure, wildlife crossings, and permitting patterns to resource and educational programs.
I love digging in to the nooks and crannies of policies and programs to identify common threads, unique partnerships or programs, and tools that can be leveraged to address the needs of your organization.
